Hey guys, just wondering if anyone knows about the Shrike 5.56 belt feed system for AR-15/M-16. Looks pretty cool. Are they available in Canada? If so expensive? Or is there another way to belt feed an AR? Let me know. Thanks in advance.

Here we go again...

(f) is of the "belt" type consisting of a fabric or metal belt, is not a reproduction and was originally designed or manufactured for the purpose of feeding cartridges into a automatic firearm of a type that was in existence before 1945.

One would have a tough time finding a belt for a .223 Rem/5.56 Nato firearm that was around prior to 1945. That cartridge was not developed until the late 1950's.

only if the firearm was designed before ?1945? thats why the 1919 can have unlimited roundeds because it was originally designed before that year, but this has been asked about a million and 1 times. Same with the Shriek Comment.

The Search is our Friend

These laws have got to be the most asinine, retarded and confusing I've ever had to deal with.

So who's up for making a "tactical" Mg34 in 7.62 Nato with a foregrip ala M60E4?

Medicine Hat PD has one for what I dont know maybe for mowing down Gophers
Are you serious? I remember some one from that Hat mentioning they liked the Shrike, I never figured they had actually used it.

I'm joining the Medicine Hat PD. :D

"For what" is a good question. If the Liberals have taught us anything, it's that the only purpose of high capacity firearms, let alone full-auto high cap firearms, is killing large numbers of people in a short time.

So why would any police department need such a thing?

Somehow I doubt anybody this side of the border has one with the difficulty of getting one on the other side with there false release dates and other issues.

It ain't Med Hat PD:rolleyes: It's the rich guy that owns the Dairy Queen and does a lot of shooting, apparently he waved around enough cash. Thank the AR gawds for a free market system. At least there is one in Canada.

The AR is NOT a sustained fire weapon, and I would be really nervous putting down a volume of fire even out of a HBAR barrel. It simply lacks the proper heat capacity of a support weapon.

Yes but he does work on there guns;)

i could link up as much as i wanted in my mg34 when we could shoot them in the good old days. maybe if they shoot that law down in the future i will have to clear the spider webs out of the barrel. always hoping.

It's me or I see that the ar15 doesn't fit in the "automatic firearm" category ? It would exempt it... but I can be wrong
