Hello everyone!,

Recently while using the search I ''discovered'' a really interesting topic, about lakeside machine and their various belt fed .22 products. Navy shooter mentioned the fact that to import them lakeside machine need to pay a little bit under 3000$ for all the paperwork......and most people were not interested in buying a 2000$+ gun.

Well now how a 695$ AR-15 beltfed upper would sound to you guys? I received an email from lakeside machine and as before if we can get enough people on bord they would be more than happy to make sure we can share the same joy as our neighbor south of the border! I am not asking for a commitment to buy one, but im looking to see how many people would be interested in the Razorback beltfed .22 AR-15 upper. Based on their website the price per unit is 695$ so i think its a good price for something as unique, and we would just need to share the price of the export / import fees.

The picture is from the LAKESIDE MACHINE web page

I hope to read from lots of you soon!

Wow thats all i can say i would have so much fun with this its kinda like 1919 i can afford to shoot i'm gonna have to subscribe as well is there any far fetched chance that these will make it too Canada?

Sounds interesting .
Let's see @ $695 + $3000 = $3695 sorry too much
If 100 of us order that's $695 + $30 = $725
If 200 of us order that's $695 + $15 = $715
If 300 of us order that's $695 + $10 = $705
100 units @ $695 = $69,500.00 + $3000 import fees = $72,500.00
200 units @ $ 695 = $139,000.00 + $3000 import fees = $ 142,000.00
300 units @ $695 = $208,500.00 + $3000. import fees = $211,500.00
You would think they would give you a discount ! ;)
I'll keep a eye on this thread
Maybe Marstar will bring them in :D

Wow! Finally a reason to buy an AR15!

BC Shooter... You've dropped a decimal place...

$300 divided between 10 of us is $300 each, between 100 of us is $30 each

if it's not restricted count me in x2!! :D BUt! it does look like an AR15 rceiver so it would probably be restricted (i just don't want to be to optimist):(

You are not buying a firearm . it is not a receiver . It mounts to a AR receiver which is Restricted . But if you watch the video and have any understanding of how it works it's not hard to see you could mount this thing to a 2"X4"
and make it work

Folks, I'm tapping some contacts on this.

How many of you would genuinely be willing to pay for these?

I'm presuming about 10-ish people.

That means:

$3000 (permit)
$6950 (10 uppers)
$500 (100 rd Cloth belts, $25.00 ea, 2 per upper)
$235 (plastic links, $235/1000 = 100 per upper)
$280 (10 feed boxes, $28/ea)
$450 (8 pc loading kit, $45/ea)

This would be a package that would give you the upper, disintegrating plastic links for 100 rounds, plus 2x100 round belts (cloth as shown in the pic) plus a feed box that fits into your AR mag well, and finally the belt loading kit to ensure your belts are properly aligned while loading.

That's $11415.00 US.

At today's exchange rate, that's $11,518.88 Cdn.

Let's add import fees, taxes, shipping, etc onto that, and my guestimate is that you'll see this climb to north of $13,000 for 10 units (with the accessories listed.)

That means your individual purchase will run you a minimum of $1300, plus sales tax, plus shipping to you, which brings you into the $1500 range.

Is there anyone else who's still REALLY interested if these things cost about $1500 to your door?

(If there were 20 people, that'd probably drop to the $1350-ish range.)

BEAR IN MIND, if this is supported by one of the dealers above, they need to make some profit on the deal too....so it might be higher!!!

(I'm saying what I can to scare off the dis-interested people....if you GOTTA have one, a hundred or two here or there won't be the make or break.)

I'm still in.

If you're serious, drop me a PM, and I'll add your name here. I've dropped a line to a supporting dealer to see if they may be interested in this.

(Edit to add:

I've contacted the site owner and gotten approval to proceed with this, so long as the actual purchase goes through one of the dealers on the board.)
