I had Mr Leeper do his magic last year on a M700 SA He trued up everything and chambered up a Heavy Benchmark I got from Gary.

It's a C-M, 1-8" 5R barrel, and is finished at 26" Chambered in 6mm Remington.

I am using the Berger 107 VLD Target, in a Winchester case, CCI BR-2, and 46.5 grains of Vihtavuori N165. Bullet is jammed .015"

I was out yesterday, and shot 4 - 5 shot groups. They are all at or less than .440 moa....one was a very nice .288"

Think I may have settled on a load for 1000 yards this spring. I have not Chronographed this yet, so that is next...looking for consistent velocity.

Regards, Dave.

That is great, I have been hearing lots of positive things about these Benchmark barrels. Which is very encouraging as I have a Benchmark 6.5mm 1-8" #5 fluted sitting in the shop right now waiting for chambering and installation.

I thought you were a "committed" 6.5mm 1042.yarder????? Soooo now you're switching to a 6mm, needle caliber, no recoil wussy thing, Hmmmmm you're not making it easy for the rest of us. If you like I've still got dies and some brass around the shop, I could load up some final rounds for you to use at the shoot. Enjoy the new toy Dave and remember watch the wind with these little guys. I'll be at the show this Sat morning.
enjoy
