Some advice would be appreciated!

The M3K has been a very solid shotgun for competition thus far with one flaw, when reloading, the end of the lifter drops below the mouth of the mag tube. I have seen a modification where the tip of the lifter is bent upwards about 10 degrees so that it is in line with the mouth of the tube.

What would be the best way to bend this lifter properly?

My advice - source a spare replacement and play with that one to bend. I have several spring things here that I tried to alter - broke them - then discovered was not possible to find a replacement to start over. Or learn to make your own springs - was apparently a common thing back in the day - at least from my 1920's gunsmithing books. Either way, my suggestion would be to try to alter a replacement - not your original - once it is broken, not really going to be able to "go back".

I suspect the "correct" procedure is to anneal the piece - re-form it to your liking - then re-harden and draw to spring temper??
