Benelli Cordoba

Looking at an older style used, (like new) Cordoba.

Just wondering if anyone has used one. Does the barrel porting make the gun that much louder than a non ported barrel??

Any other feedback??

My Mossberg 930 is ported, so it my daughter's. Sounds the same as every other 12 gauge.

I have a Benelli Cordoba. It is ported and the muzzle blast is much the same as other ported guns. With ear muffs you can't tell whether your gun is ported or not.

Same gun as the Super Sport without the extra bling. I’ve been shooting a SS for fifteen plus years. Great guns and the barrel porting is one of those things you won’t notice when shooting it.

You don't notice the porting if you are shooting it. You do notice it if you are standing beside it. I tried a Cordoba, liked it except for the porting.

Do you shoot any extended ported chokes in your Benellis now?? No issues with my SuperSport as Rem3200 stated. I've hunted and shot clays with folks who have Cordobas, SuperSports, Browning O/U's, Beretta 391's with magnaporting or simliar aftermarket porting with no issues. Back on track here, the folks I know who have Cordobas like them.

With ported barrel I don’t see any further perceived benefit in using ported chokes. I added a Sporting Briley skeet and LM to the originals and look after all my shooting needs.

My post was for Waterfowler, meaning if he has Benellis ( no porting) try a ported choke to compare the noise levels for himself. No need for a ported barrel & choke, just my two cents worth.

Just bought the Cordoba instead. Will be comparing it to my M2.
