Benelli M2 Field 21" and Tacstar 8 Mag extension

Hi,

Can I put the Tacstar 8 mag extension on a Benelli M2 field and still be legal for the 5 rounds stipulation?

The Tacstar 8 mag extension only adds 3 extra shells according to the product literature but my M2 can hold 3 + 1.

I'm thinking of buying the extension but want to make sure that I'm good.

Any advice would be appreciated.

My understanding was to stay legal, you can only add the +7 (2 extra shells). I guess it would depend on how much room the spring/follower takes up in the tube. As long as the 6th 3" shell doesn't fit in, you're good, right? So technically, you could have 15.9" of useable space in the tube, plus whatever room is taken up by the follower and spring. If you look on cactus tactical's site, they give the breakdown of each extension (extension length and overall length). Then you would just need to make a few small calculations to figure out what you can legally have here.

Does anyone know how much room the follower and spring take up?
 
I think it would be too long.

I have experience with a SBE II and a tacstar and it't perfect. (9 3/8 total length tacstar tube, tacstar spring, original benelli follower). This is a 3.5 gun though. 5.9 3.5's
 
Which tacstar tube is it and who sell them in Canada ? Or who will ship one to Canada ?

Edit : Never mind, I found them at 4th Gen Tactical.
