Benelli M2 SP or Beretta 1301 Comp Pro

Quite a difference between the M2 SP and the M2 Speed. Loading port cut out mostly.
I went with the speed. Got the proper length mag tube and the red X barrel clamp to restore it to proper factory condition. Hated the shrinky dink kanadien tube.
Matches my Nova Speed. Obviously Im a Benelli fan but the 1301 comp pro is a fantastic gun and I will own one some day. The kicks stock and the pro lifter are very nice.

1301 is definitely the new hotness but even the comp pro will still need work to be at its full potential. Again, loading port.
Friend sent his to Tacord to get the Benelli Speed cut done. Very much improved.

Hard to go wrong with either one I guess.
Probably slight edge to the Beretta for its gas system. But having competed using both with target load and slugs, I dont really notice a difference when I'm on the clock.

Neither. I’d buy a 3,1/2” Beretta A400 here in Canada because of our silly capacity laws.
Both your options are reliable guns but need the loading port opened up from the factory

This ^^^^ is what I did.

The A400 probably wont run well on 2 3/4" rounds out of the box but that can be overcome with a switch of the gas release valve spring.
