Benelli M2 Tactical (Pistol Grip): Lights, Carriers, Red Dots, etc?

You can try for a Mesa Tactical shell carrier.

I personally recommend just getting something like this:

and use a high-strength OUT-DOOR rated double-sided tape to attach it.

Thats pretty much exactly what I did to add a shell carrier to my Benelli M4, and it works 100 times better than the method Mesa used, and it wont damage your receiver at all. Also it wont add too much extra weight.

If you want to go with a red-dot, go with something light, like an Aimpoint Micro, or a Docter/Jpoint type sight. Tactical Shotgunner also carriers picatinny rails for the Beneli M2, although you may have to thread and tap the receiver.

As for lights, there are TONS of different ways to attach them.

Something like a barrel/mag-tube clamp with a rail (such as Nordic-Defense) or the Mesa Tactical one, would work. A lot depends on where you want to put the flashlight.

(This is an old pic, I have taken the top of the FAB Defense railed forend off)

This way, when holding the shotgun normally, my thumb sits just behind the flashlight tail cap.

Sweet shotgun there. Thanks for the tip about the tape. I didn't want to go for the Mesa as I'd read there were some issues but tape would be the bees knees.

I'm also looking for input and pics on things like tube extensions. I don't know if I should go for Nordic or Tacstar or something I haven't heard about. Quality, fit and finish on accessories and stuff like that.

I have the M2 Tactical as well. I have the surefire 618 foregrip/taclight. Also using mesa receiver top rail. Usually run the T1 Aimpoint Micro or Docter on this gun.

Here it is, second from the top. No optics in this pic though.

Tube

My mag tube extension is EOM Benelli on both the M4 and M2. They are next to impossible to find...especially for M4. There are a few individuals making very high quality copies of the OEM mag tubes on Benelli USA forum. I have seen these in person and could not tell the difference. The price for the M4 was about $150 or so IIRC.

I do not care for the Nordic stuff as the finish is very different from that of the gun. The quality is good though. Most guys run tacstar....I didn`t go that route though.
