Anyone ever use their Benelli M4 for hunting Ducks, Geese or upland game? If so, let me know how it went. Did you have a rough time with it due to the short barrel?

Thanks Gunner.

I only ever used mine for clays, took a little while, but I got pretty good with the ghost rings. I could keep up with my buddies shooting 28" barrels. That being said, I just started duck hunting for the first time and it's a different animal, my first two times were with a 21" barrel (as it was all I had available at the time) and I found it a little short. Close over decoys I'm sure it would work great though. The fact that it has ghost rings will probably help offset the barrel length issue (vs a short sight radius with a bead) if you can line up your shots quick enough. I always found my M4 was very quick to shoulder and point for me.

Duck hunting with a shorter barrel is possible, you just need more ft infront for lead for the loss in FPS, just dont stop your swing, thats where the long barrel helps.

Used mine on ducks, gooses, partridge and jack rabbits, all the same weekend!
Add to that two deers, it's a great do all shotgun, but not the best in all areas...
Mind that I didn't hunted birds on a blind, they where targets of opportunity and be M4 was the gun I hapen to had in my hands!
As for the deers, the M4 was shining as it's best!
Love mine, looks great even with all the scratchs!
