4350 steel is about as good as it gets for sheet metal, 4140 to 4350 is what most gun bbl are made from
The rail is 7076 T6 aluminum. again about the best aluminum you can buy
steel is nitried treated to 38-40 RC then parkerised
rail is Mil spec type 3 class 2 hard anodized.
