hmmm I would try a heavyier round first

I only put 100rds through mine "winchester cheepo 3dram 1 1/8" start getting afew short strokes around the 75th rd. I shot 5 slugs after and it ran fine

I have always heard they need to be broke in so I'll see

I polished my bolt carrier rails with a buffing wheel "til the were sivler" and......

Ran 100rds of federal Heavy field load 3 1/4dram with 0 problems "$6.99 a box of 25"

Ran 50rds 00 buck with 0 problems "6.99 a box of 5"

Sofar so good "next I'll try the cheepo stuff

Yup, after 200-300 full power Slugs and Buck it should be good to go.
Here is me shooting Heavy Birdshot, S&B 2 3/4 low recoil Slugs and Buck with no issues.

gregb that is awesome! Makes me happy I picked up an M4 yesterday. I can't wait to try it out.

Also I don't mean to hijack the thread but who has tube extensions or railed forends for M4s in stock? Canadian Tactical Cowboy normally carries both but they are out of stock.

Nice, so it eats anything you feed it. Now try some reduced recoil ammo, that's where we ran into problems, but then again, yours is already broken in with all the shooting so it might not affect you.

The only ammo I`ve fired thru my M4 entry is S&B 2 3/4 low recoil Slugs and Buck with no issues.

Make sure you have a good stance and dont limp shoulder

yup its good to go for anything 3 dram or higher

Low recoil buck is 3 Dram so break yours in with some cheap heavy feild loads or polish the bolt carrier rails
