Hey,

Just checking out the Benelli M4...and I am wondering why, with such a long tube it only holds 4+1 rounds?!!? I KNOW our laws only allow 5 in the tube...but still it seems, wrong? Is there a reason for this?

As you know semi auto's are allowed 5 rounds max, so I believe they put a mag extension on for the tactical look, but plug it to keep it legal here.

On the civilian M4, the magazine tube is "ribbed" to prevent loading more than 5 rounds. I don't know why they didn't shorten the magazine and put the barrel retaining ring closer. I guess they wanted the shotgun to look the same as its military counterpart. It's kinda silly looking.

See the magazine tube on the bottom M4:

Yea? Expensive to do? I know I'd have to plug it but it looks 100x better

There are some other M4 owners whove done this method, I cant speak cost wise as Ive never undertaken it... (yet :D) Id do some searching on the other threads under this section and youll find some info from owners...

The "Lets See your Tactical Shottys!" thread always has a tremendous amount of M4's from all walks of life found in there...

Buy the 2 shot Ext "$70 and plug it "problem solved"

If you think $70 is pricey then you should not own a M4 :p
