Benelli M4 Restricted or Non-Restricted?

Hey there!

Am thinking of buying an M4 in the not too distant future but currently hung up on the Restricted or Non-Restricted versions. I'm leaning ever so slightly to the NR version as I could take it coyote hunting or out to a buddy's farm, LOL.

I currently own two Benelli SBE's for waterfowl hunting and they have treated me great and have heard nothing but great things from the M4. Thanks!
 
Why on earth would you buy the restricted to cut 4-5" off overall length? :) You get 0% of the utility, for the same price, of the non-restricted and you have to do paperwork to use it. Plus even the issued version in the Marines is full length; no brainer. Surprised the restricteds even sell in Canada, to be honest.

Exactly...
If you need a shorter shotgun, go pump to have non-restricted.
18.5 M4 is fairly short anyways with the collapsible stock

Well, I have a Benelli M4 14" Entry - and I wouldn't trade it for anything.

Funny thing - all the people who have ever been fortunate to shoot my firearm have nothing but fun.

Try it before you knock it boys.

Not knocking it of just saying that the force of the M4 is being NR, i can use it for a clay run, deer hunting, or shooting pop soda bottles on my lands, why would i want one i only can used at the club... JP.
 
If you have minimal funds then get a full length 18.5" M4. If you have a little more funds get both 18.5" and 14" Entry. If you want absolute versatility then get the 18.5" M4 and a Fabarm Martial Pro Forces 14": http://www.wanstallsonline.com/product.php?productid=816&cat=0&page=1

Regardless of what others say you are wasting your $$ if you could only afford one and spend it on the 14" M4. It's a great gun don't get me wrong, but its "restricted" status greatly reduces its practicality.
Buy the 18" M4, put a full-length titanium mag tube on it and you're set. The 14" Fabarm covers all other areas.
 
The other thing about getting the Non-Restricted over the Restricted is if you decide to resell it. A lot easier to sell a Non-Restricted than a Restricted especially if it is a shotgun.
 
I'd take the Entry model *if* it were nonrestricted, but since that's not the case it's a no-brainer unless you do all your shooting at a range anyway.
 
Great choice. You won't regret it. Now go get the mag extension and make friends with a farmer or landowner who will let you set up a small range. Plant a 1/4 acre of pumpkins in the spring. Nuff said.
