Works great! The combat sights actually work quite well, but I must say, the gun actually feels heavier than my 26" Remington 870. Great semi for the bush. The wife loved it, but I cried when it got dirty.

Yes - Grouse indeed. We just call everything edible with wings "Partridge". Goose = Partridge. Duck = Partridge. Pheasant =Partridge. Puffin=Partridge. Airplane=Partridge.

Northern French.

Nice bird but is that a partridge in your area? In AB, I think that would be considered a Grouse - looks like a sprucie to me. Just asking...

Actually its a Ruffed Grouse.....and to the OP's comment about the military sights working quite well? It's a shotgun loaded with shotshells. Sights are not necessary. Point and shoot. However you sluiced it congrats on the partridge. They are some fine eating!! :)

I agree. I was used to the bead sight on my 870, and everyone told me I'd never be able to use the Super-90 for hunting, and I wouldn't be able to use the sights. However, I found they worked just fine.

They are indeed fine eating. Mrs. Cannon made some pot pies out of the first batch. Now we're trying to decide on what to do with the Thanksgiving weekend birds. We might preserve some spaghetti sauce with them. Some people don't like the blacks, but I find the meat is good - blacks or greys.
