Spoke with Darren yesterday from Prairie Guns Traders and order a Benelli MR-1, nice gentleman and a very good price, had a chance of trying one 2 weeks ago and i really liked it and was suprised by its accuracy... enough to buy one, that is good because i could not convince myself to spend 2500.00 on a non-restricted black rifle and i defenetly did not one to buy a mini-14, so went in the middle, 1650.00 shipped to my door, very happy of my transaction... JP.

Just found 2 LAR-15 10 rounds mags plus one coupler, they are a great fit for the MR-1, it is gone be less than a 100.00 shipped to my door... JP.

What kind of accuracy did you exerience? i have been wanting to buy one but keep getting scared off by the accuracy reports.

Had the chance of trying one at the range 3 weeks ago i had no expectations at all, did not know the rifle now i shot 80 rounds of WWB 45 gr cheapo ammo at 50 metres with the steel aperture, this thing is so smooth and felt so solid it was coming up easy and i would shoot 1 inch or so, very acurrate and recoil is tame trigger is about 5 pounds crisp, i loved it so much after that i needed one ,cant wait to have my own... JP.

Nice Trijicon 1.5X4 German post on its way to meet with Mr. MR-1 they will be perfect for each other... JP.

If i was buying a semi 223 that would be my choice as well. Looks like a nice rifle, post a range report please. Darren is indeed a nice guy to deal with, i`ve bought several firearms from him and would do so again when the need or urge hits.

range report!
i'm looking at the rifle too- although I'm still torn between the CX4 and the MR1, but if its accurate out to say....75 yards, I'll be a happy camper :D

Benelli not restricted and with a limited experience with it (80 rounds of WWB 45gr ) the potential for accuracy is great as i was shooting one inch at 50 metres with the steel aperture... a scope and proper handload i am sure it could be MOA at 100 metres, you can feel the quality and see how well its made... JP.

Got my Benelli MR-1 this afternoon it is a georgous rifles, assembled it, wiped the packing oil, installed a brand new Trijicon german post, now my Lar-15 mags & couplers should be here by Thursday, got somme WWB 45 gr as it seem to like it, cant wait to Friday to bring it to the range... JP.

I should have taken pics @ 50 yards  , but I was pretty much placing them one-on-top-of-the-other when I was sighting-in the 3-9x scope......:)....and the barrel didn't heat up (or the groups open-up ;) ) anywhere near what so many non-owners like to warn ! :D

This his a high quality rifle very accurate and made to last a lifetime, its a sleeper but beware many other will bite the dust when the comparaison will be made... JP.
