Hey,
I wanted to let all MR1 owners know that if you cant slide the upper all the way back on the lower to make it fit flush with the back plate, you must make sure you clean all carbon deposit from under neath the o ring. I spend 3 days trying to figure out why my rifle would not come together, until I by process of trail and error, stripped all parts until it fitted.
The carbon underneath the oring which is 1 mm or less in thickness will expand the oring and prevent the upper sliding all the way back on the lower.
Seems like something most would ignore since it is suppose to be a self cleaning rifle. But if you use ####ty ammo, or lube the gas system it will build up.
I hope it helps since mr1 is a new rifle to our scene and people know very little about the common issues that may exist.
