Novas are a gerat gun. No question. Well built, easy to shoot and has an excellent reputation.

The Stoeger P-350 on the other hand is essentially a Nova.....but less than half the price and every bit as good.

I have the Tactical Nova with the 18 1/2 barrel. Recoil is brutal with slugs or heavy shot. Get the recoil reducer!!! I'm not sure if the Stoeger will accomadate the reducer or not. Both of these guns are very light, regardless of barrel lenght. So expect them both to be real thumpers!

Stoegers quality has really improved over the years and are good bang for the buck!

Stoeger lists the recoil reducer on their website...

I like my nova. COmmon complaints is a loose slide. THe slide/foregrip rotates around the mag tube abit. I havent had a problem with the operation yet inspite of the situation. THe other problem is the recoil. Serious thumper when shooting turkey loads. The LimbSaver definately feels better on the gun vs the hockeypuck. Next for me is a recoil reducer for inside the stock.

I love my nova! Great shotgun, tough as nails. One problem though is in the winter when hunting on snowmobile, the forend gets pluged with snow and makes it difficult to rack the slide. A few taps with your hand though knocks the snow out and it works fine. The Nova is by far my favorite pump shotgun.

They are great shotguns, tough and reliable. I sold mine, mostly because of recoil, the pad on it that comes from the factory is superhard. Regarding the comment above that they are light, mine weighed 8 lbs. I mostly hunt uplad birds, so I bought a sauer 20g SXS.

I use mine as a daily carry gun in the bush where I work.Has stood up well.Took a mule deer and a whitetail with it.Very reliable,no jams, but it does kick hard with the 3.5 inch loads.2 3/4" slugs aren't too bad at all though.I would buy another for sure!!!I did find that the barrel needed a couple good coats of oil to keep the corrosion away in wet weather, and the slide does rattle a bit.

I love mine. Fits perfectly.

Easy to disassemble for maintenance.

Get one you won't regret it.

They certainly seem a sturdy and reliable arm. Very ###y looking as well. It's just after hoisting the 870 synthetic the Nova just seemed, well, unnecessarily large and slightly cumbersome.

My buddy missed having a brand new one at a recent Delta banquet we were at by one card from a deck of playing cards- He had the 8 of clubs and the winner had the 8 of Spades :( It would have been a great $10.00 investment.
Oh well later that evening I was fortunate and was drawn for a Baretta Extrema II in Max4. So the nite turned out even better than expected . PS I gave my old winchester pump to a close friend as he was in need of a gun.
Funny how things sometimes workout.

That is why it fits so well (for me anyways).

Pump Action Non-Restricted Fire Arm, this shotgun is in excellect condition.

I would rate this shotgun a 9.75/10, it has approximately 20-40 rounds through it.

The Recoil Reducer works great.
