Benelli Problem

Hey folks, does anyone know how I can go about getting my M2 repaired or (hopefully quicker) replaced? I bought it new last year from WSS in Regina and it's having some problems. Have gotten the Benelli "click" a few times which is pretty frustrating but I had been dealing with it (thought maybe I had knocked it out of battery somehow). But lately it's started to fail to feed. The shell ejects, and a new one comes out of the mag, but it does not get lifted up and the bolt gets stuck rearward. I have to give it a nudge. This is pretty frustrating as it seems to happen when I'm trying to get a bird and happens VERY frequently when cycling the gun to unload it. The fore grip wiggles side to side quite a bit as well which is not a major concern but I have held other Benelli's and they certainly did not do this.

Please let me know who I can get in touch with in Canada to get this taken care of.. I saved for a long time for this shotgun and I'm pretty disappointed that it has failed me. And yes, it gets cleaned regularly.

Your help is greatly appreciated.

My buddy purchased a Super Vinci which had the exact same problem you have. Took it back to the store the next few days and exchanged it for a Beretta A400. Never looked back.

Well ####. It's been about a year so I don't know if the store will still honour the warranty or if I'm going to Benelli now.... I guess they are both owned by the same company so maybe I can convince them I don't have faith in Benelli and need to try something else.... still though, if I got a working M2 (or even a Vinci since they have the same retail). I would probably be satisfied so long as it funtioned..

Benelli has a 10 year warranty. The store might not take it back, but Benelli should honor their warranty.

Incase anyone finds this thread looking for information...

I have contacted Stoeger Canada and they said I can ship the gun to them and they will fix it. I'm weary to do so as I don't know their turnaround so I asked if they could send me the catch release and spring. The reason I requested those parts is a found a thread here http://www.shotgunworld.com/bbs/viewtopic.php?f=61&t=259059 in which a few guys were having the same problem. The parts should be no more than a few dollars so we will see what happens. No word back from Stoeger after my request. Will give them a call tomorrow. Also going to get in contact with the dude that sold me on the shotgun at wholesale sports and see if we can exchange.

The click is an easy fix to do yourself. Mine had the same issue. I ended up taking the stock off and cleaning out the recoil tube with some solvent and a swab. then applied a light coat of oil. This fixed it perfectly. I did go back and ended up replacing the recoil spring with a wolff XP spring and have never had an issue since. I am going on my 7th year with my SBE2 without any issues following that year one issue.
