Benelli R1 300 WM ammo?????

Hey..I just got one but have not fired it. So whats a good ammo for it accuarcy wise? what grain is best for deer? moose? How tight a group can you get ?? anyone got a spare mag to sell me ?? ha ha

Winchester Supreme 180gr Accubonds or the XP3's get my vote. I only shoot 180gr bullets from my 300WM....good for everything. I reload Accubonds in mine since 2005. Factory ammo was well under 1" and reloads 0.5" or better out of my Sako m75ss.

Next pick factory would be Federal 180gr TTSX's.

It will shoot lighter bullets better,than the heavier ones.

The one I had ate any brand of 300 win mag I would feed it.
I agree that accuracy seemed better with the lighter bullets in that cartridge catagory.

My R1 300 Win shoots Fusions very well for a factory round. 165s and 180s

Also check the EE for spare mags, I have seen a few come up for sale from time to time.
