I have one and I love it. It has never failed to cycle, no matter the weather and I can take it apart and easily clean it (which is a big plus when I get into nasty marshy places during hunting season) It isn't the most accurate rifle but with hand loads I get 1.5 inch groups at 100 yards which is very acceptable for anything under 300 yards. I hunt with a friend who has a browning BAR but he can't easily tear down and clean his and for me that was the big drawback. I have probably put 500 rounds through mine with no issues.
I also ordered the raised rubber cheek piece and that gave me a perfect check weld every time I raise the rifle

Had the comfort tech on my 338 win mag R1. It seemed to really dampen the blow, and it shouldered nice. I found it light in the front causing it to be a little "whippy". Other than that, the R1 seemed to be a good accurate reliable rifle. I ended up selling it to a good friend for moose hunting and he loves it.
