Benelli ri rifle any good?

Hi all,

Thinking about buying a Benelli r1 rifle, heard some bad things about reliability. Can any of you give me a report on reliability and accuracy?

Would I be better off with a browning BAR?

Enlighten us, what sort of bad things have you heard about the Benelli R1 Rifle ?
I have seen 7MM BAR shoot Keyholes down range before, but that wasnt the fault of the rifle, but rather the bullet powder combo that was tried at the time.

I they jam a lot, I know some of us have problems with semi autos because of poor ammo of lack of proper maintenance witch isn't a problem for me. Just wanted to know about precision and reliability...
 
You won't find a better made semi-auto in that price range. Mine is a 300 Win and it shoots accurately and has never malfunctioned. I also have a BAR in 308 that I am very fond of, but the mechanism is much more complicated and requires more maintenance. The R1 is a fantastic gun, plain and simple.
