Benelli Super Black Eagle II and Beretta A400 Lowest Price

Same price... same specs... which one for someone who never owned any of these?

A400 for sure. The SBE2 is an inertia gun, A400 is gas. SBE2 is 'old' technology, A400 is much newer/better (in my opinion).

SBE2 recoil is punishing in comparison. A400 is a soft shooter, with much faster cyclic rate. For me, it's not even a comparison. A400 all the way!

I only went with a Maxus of the A400 due to the safety location on the A400. I'm used to behind the trigger like 870, and muscle memory to hard to break!

I personally chose the SBE II, and have absolutely no complaints with it whatsoever. Has digested everything I've fed it, and I don't think an easier to clean gun exists. The receiver splitting in half is a brilliant innovation, and if memory serves you only need 3 tools to take the entire gun apart. It's also recoil operated rather than gas (like the Beretta is) which means it runs cleaner overall as there isn't gas feeding back into the action. They're both great guns as far as I'm concerned, just giving you some of the reasons I opted for the SBE II when I was buying. The Benellis also tend to have good 3 gun related aftermarket if you're into that sort of thing.
