OK lets lay it on the line I am looking for "THE" shotgun. I have narrowed it down to the Benelli Super Vinci or the Barretta New A400. I am looking to get feed back on Three things Recoil reduction this is the big one especially with the 3 1/2" Heavy loads, Muzzle lift again on heavy loads and lastly reliability. I would really like to cycle the weapons at a range myself so I could feel the difference for myself and make up my own mind.. Happy holidays and thanks for the help!!! Is there interchangeable barrels with either of them?? Ie Rifled slug barrel??? Thanks again

I can say for less recoil the a400 is gonna win. Its gas driven vs inertia. But then the inertia on the super vinci is supposed to be "inline" the spring comes straight back, no spring on an angle going into the stock. Its all right where the bolt and action is. so they say that give it less muzzle rise, and quicker 2nd and 3rd shots. But then less recoil in the a400 will probably help just the same

I'd shoulder both and see which feels the best. You would go wrong with either.

Love my super vinci though, its so nice and light. absolutely zero complaints, but a400 owners will most likely say the same.

Yep. And when I'm hunting I can honestl say I've never felt or been affected by recoil. Your mind is on the birds and far from feeling the recoil.

It was fine though, shoot geese with 3.5" bbs. And didn't notice much difference in any other gas auto of mine.

I own a Vinci and I have to say that its the best fitting shotgun for me and points very natural, I love it. Recoil has never been an issue and I've spent hours shooting skeet with it.

I am very happy with the Vinci and I believe if you go that route, you will be too.

I own a vinci as well and recently an a400 excel sporting.
As Kill said the Vinci is great out of the box. Love the combination of fit and light weight. It is a tad light for trap and skeet but you can get away with it and still have a grand time. Overall a lovely gun.
Now the Beretta is a total different animal. It just feels right when hitting clays. For me at least I find it to be "easier" getting consistent results. It's got the longer barrel, heavier weight for a nice swing and less noticeable recoil than the vinci, which isn't to say the vinci kicks a lot. It doesn't, just differently and have been told, as I have yet to experiment with "much" heavier loads myself, the inline Vinci will handle heavier loads better in the recoil dept.
I can hunt with the vinci but would rather not with my particular a400.

BTW kent, FWIW you will not find "THE" shotgun. "THE" shotgun will appear in many different forms and colours in your safe. I added 3 more in the last month

Yes EMIDYL I agree I do have several shot guns now!! I have a Browning BPS that I absolutely love in certain applications this next one will be put to the test of mud and rain snow etc!!! thanks for the feed back.. Well now it will be Merry christmas to me. .
