Hello all!
I'm looking into getting a Benelli Supernova 28" BBL. I went to LeBaron today and it handled like it did before - really really good!

My question to all of you Nova and Supernova owners is....

Is it normal when you load a shell (#### back and fourth and lock the pump) for the pump handle to kinda rock back of fourth like 2-3mm? The handle does lock but you can move the pump handle back and fourth 2-3mm.

I was just wondering if this was normal before I buy one.

oh really, i thought the gun the guy showed me was a defect, thats weird... on the other hand, it shouldered me perfectly like it did last time i tried it

The fore-end has movement just like you described, but when I push mine forward as far as she'll go and take my hand off, it jumps back.
I like the fact that when you depress the action release, the fore-end jumps back by quite a bit. Hold it so that the barrel is slightly elevated, and it almost slides down half of the way.

If you end up buying that gun from LeBaron's, be sure to get their club membership for 10% off the price of the gun.

Just checked mine and yes it does have that same play in it. If you check for this movement on other pumps you will find they do the same.

If the pump has not been cycled or the trigger had been pulled and not cycled since, the slide will have play. When it is pumped to engage the trigger you'll find it does not have any play.

Great quality gun.
Mine is in pieces in the yard right now drying after being forgotten in the boat last night in the rain. She was balls deep in water this morning when i realized it was gone!

Bombed about 4 shells to dry out the barell and brought it back to the city to take it appart and finish drying in the sun.

Hunt camp sure takes its toll on my guns and gear lol!
