Benelli Supernova?

Good Day all,

Looking at getting my first shotgun, will be using it for clays and a little hunting. Any issues with the benelli supernova? Went to BP and between the supernova and an 870, the supernova seemed better quality.

Any information is greatly appreciated.

Doubles are fun on the Super Nova.

As for my thoughts I was a bit nervous that the forend is made of polymer but I got over it. My fiancee is 5'2" and she can't shoot my Benelli as the 14" LOP is too much for her. A youth SA-08 or Remington 870 20g 21" model she can hold and shoot fine.

I like that the Super Nova has a fibre optic while the Remington 870 doesn't.

I've had two or three friends shoot my Benelli. They all comment how smooth and easy it is to load shells compared to their Remingtons and Winchesters.

As for aftermarket stuff.. the 870 has the Super Nova beat. If you're thinking of getting into that stuff you won't be going too far with the Super Nova.

I will never let go of my Benelli but I'll be adding a SA-08 Youth and most likely a $1500 Benelli or Beretta semi shotgun to my collection as I am having way too much fun with trap shooting. It's a thrill when you have a friend throw the plates over you and ti's unexpected..
