Benelli Supersport - Finish peeling off, is this normal?

I've owned my Benelli Supersport for 2 years and I've fired over 5000 shells through it. I've noticed that the nickel finish on the rails where the bolt slides back and forth is starting to peel off. Is this normal? I'm hoping to get an answer from other Benelli semi-auto owners out there. thanks.

I've had mine for 2 years and probably put 2500 rounds through and mine still looks new. I do lubricate often but mine has no signs at all of what yours is doing.
