I apologize for not answering your question and perhaps offering information to which you may already be privy, but...
Many folks, and I happen to be one, feel that in the rare circumstances where a 3 1/2 is justified, a 10 gauge will do a far better job.
If one allready has a 3 inch 12 and feels the need for bigger, I agree the 10 will do a better job. If one wants one gun to do it all, the 3 1/2 is a good choice. Light enough for upland, chambered for the big one and versatile enough to shoot light target loads for fun.
Prefer Benelli to Stoeger![]()
Not what he asked, but I agree wholeheartedly.
Benelli and/or Stoeger? and 3 1/2 12 gauge? He never did say what purpose?
Lord knows, I get a little tired of a few friends I have who want to borrow a shotgun, use it, and then return it dirty. Maybe giving them a "problem gun" will teach them a lesson.
