Bent bolt

Hi guys, do someone knows where i could buy a bent bolt for Mosin Nagant

I want to go hunt with the mosin this year, but the scope mount that i bought

Won't let the bolt go completely open so I need a bent one

There is a "Kit" available that includes a rifle bolt handle, a bolt to attach it to the rifle bolt, and a drill and tap so that it can be bolted onto the rifle bolt. (If that makes sense.)

Basically, you cut the present bolt handle off the rifle bolt, drill and tap a hole for the new bolt handle and use a threaded regular bolt that is supplied with the kit to attach the handle to the rifle bolt.

you could cut and weld a bent extension into the handle. there are ways of doing this without excess heat travelling to the rest of the bolt so that it does not affect whatever heat treatment a mosin may have. tig would be best, followed by carefully prepared mig. am thinking of doing this myself, just because the bent bolt makes more sense.

I made mine. But I did not weld it. I tapped a hole (after cutting off the old handle of course) and used red loctite.
