I recently listed this rifle on the EE for trade/sale. I figured I'd throw on a cheapy Bushnell to make it a package deal. Got it all mounted, but something didn't look right. I looked a few times and realized the scope was bent.

I have never used this scope. I don't have any idea where it came from which is good cuz someone pulled a fast one on me.

Whatcha think Bushnell will say about this one? :D

If you can convince them you left it on the dash and it melted you should be fine, otherwise Bushnell may claim it wasn't due to material defect, just a hunch...

If your luck with Bushnell is the same as mine I would send it in.Then you should know about this time next year what they have to say. They don't seem to be to quick about things.

A buddy had his horse roll down a rockslide on his and it was replaced free .Mine you that was a decade ago and a B+L scope.................Harold

Probably 20 years back, I had a Bushnell Scopechief 3x9 that had about a 5" spread between groups at 3x compared to 9x. Sent it in to Bushnell. They advised me that the scope was slightly bent, almost certainly due to misalignment between front and rear mounts. Check the rifle, which I did, and they were right: It was an Enfield P-17 that had been "sporterized" by BSA, and they had done a poor job of machining the rear section under the scope base properly. Gun smith trued it for me when I had the rifle customized.

Nevertheless, Bushnell repaired the scope no charge for me.

Recently I sent them an almost new Elite 3200 3x10x40 Compact that I picked up second hand, which I told them. Turned out the erector had come loose, which they repaired no charge for me.

Nothing but good things to say about Bushnell here!

When I sent my Bushnell in it was About a month and a half from the day I mailed it until the day I had the new on in hand.

Over the years I have sent in 7 or 8 Bushnell scopes, not one good experience that I can remember... They were consistent for sure.

Glad to hear it worked out for you though.

No matter what they say, it will take 8 months to a year to find out :p

Sent a Bushnell 3200 in 5 weeks ago due to a loose windage adjustment, got it back yesterday. I have only had to send bushnell products in twice in 15 years and both times i got the product either replaced or repaired in less than 60 days, guess i'm just lucky but i have nothing but good to say about bushnell.

Thats good, they must be getting better on the customer service side. All I know now is that I will never have to deal with them again nor will I waste my time trying.

That scope was probably mounted on a rifle and was dropped or someone fell backwards when the rifle was slung over the shoulder. That very thing happened to me 10 or 12 years ago with a 2 X 7 Bushnell. The scope looks bent just like the one pictured, however; it still holds zero perfectly. I was goin to send it back but then thought what the heck… it always works. It is just a scope for rabbit hunting and stuff so I don’t use it anywhere that if it broke it would be catastrophic anyway.

For my .02c Bushnell can stick their scopes in their own butts because I'm tired of getting screwed around by them....I'm with crazy_davey on this one...it always feels better when you quit banging your head against a brick wall....aaahhhhhhh!!!

I had a cheap Bushnell (Sportview I thino) act up on me; they replaced it without a question. I bouhgt a Bushnell Elite 4000 that seemed fine until I it would not adjust porperly; I sent it to Bushnell and they said it was bent and they would not fix it. Luckily for me I bought it at a fairly new gun shop and they gave me my money back to avoid bad word of mouth.

If the scope does not work, you might as well send it in and see what happens unless you need a paperweight.
