While this might not be the normal fare for this forum, I feel it is non-the-less appropriate to be put here to show off. Just pick this up for a killer deal of an acquaintance I met at the range.
I'm hoping the eventually restore it, but I feel that might be an uphill battle to be taken up longterm and not something to be completed in the near future. What I would like to do is get it firing asap. I've done some research on how to make the ammo, however I'd like some advice on how to proceed. I currently only have a couple 43 Spanish rounds which I'm planning on converting over, however I'm looking for more if anyone knows where to look. I've annealed the cases and just need to fire form them. However I've notice that the cases are very tight going into the chamber, needing some gentle persuasion from a rubber mallet to get the bolt closed. From those of you who've done this before, is this normal? And need I worry about them always being that tight going in?
Now for your viewing pleasure.

Even though it's best to use cast as well as paper patched bullets in that rifle and if the bore is very good or better, standard .429, 44 cal pistol bullets work very well for plinking.
