I bought a Gen2 with a 21 inch barrel from a site sponsor (thanks again Reliable Gun!!) and it should be arriving soon. With all these icy rainy conditions, probably not tomorrow but soon. Just not soon enough, LOL! In the meanwhile, I'm already thinking of mods and upgrades that I'd like to do.

I would like to have the full (Canadian legal) potential of five plus one rounds available to me but I've read that this is not really doable with the factory setup. For those who own this model, would you mind if I ask what kind of magazine extension you have for your 1301 Comp? Does a plus one work or do you have a longer one? If longer, how is it pinned? Which brands are available and where? I would also like to attach a mag clamp which would accommodate a QD mount and/or a picatinny rail section so I need to take that into consideration.

I'm trying to figure out what my options are and I would like to benefit from the experience of others here. Any help would be much appreciated and pictures are always welcome! TIA

A plus one will give you 6 plus one of 2.75" and NOT hold 6 rounds of 3" in the magazine. The Benelli Nova extension has the same threads.

Yes, I was thinking that a plus one would do the trick but I wasn't sure if it would allow an extra 3" round so thank you for the clarification. I see that S&J have a plus one for the Benelli Nova but I'm not keen on the included sling mount. I'd prefer a QD mount which probably means using a barrel clamp and I'm not sure whether a barrel clamp would work with a plus one extension? Does anyone know of other brands that make plus ones for this gun? Thanks!

^^^This^^^. I use an SJ Hardware +1 designed for the Nova. Works great. Also, the 1301 is fairly easy to ghost load so you should get 6+1+1 2 3/4" shells in it no problem.

I checked their website and didn't see any mention at all that they still sold Nordic Components accessories.
Thanks very much for the heads up!

You need to call to order. I recommend the SJ Hardware one though as it is probably close to half the price. it is also steel vice aluminum so I am sure there are various opinions on which material is better but in the end they both get it done.
