Anyone have a Beretta 1301 Tactical that can give me some review of its performance. On the Fence between a Benelli M2 Or Beretta 1301. Tactical Versions

Don't have the Tactical model but I do have the Competition one (was planning on shooting 3G) and it's a dream to shoot. Well worth the money and cheaper than an M2 and eats everything so far.

if you do go for the 1301, be sure to get a 2018 model as they re-designed the bolt release button that was causing an issue for some people (and is talked about in some youtube vids)...also it is available in FDE and OD green now (so if you see one in those colours you can be sure it is a 2018)

Great. Ya I can see the newer style bolt release in the pic. It looks different than the older model. I hope they make them in black aswell

Have the tactical. And old style release, never had a problem if used properly it eats every thing and points so well

yes they do...i have seen the new black ones here...i saw the FDE at SHOT show but havent seen them in Canada yet

I bought the 1301 tactical for 3 Gun and it works like a dream. I have the older model but installed the bolt release shroud and haven't had an issue with it. Just don't use Score ammo it dirties up the action and causes issues after a few shells.

I have 1301 tac gen 2 and 1301 Comp pro.

Personally I prefer the ergonomics of the 1301.. M2 is well built... But something about loading and shooting 1301 is a lot nicer.

I bought a 1301 Tactical Gen 2 for 3 gun and it works like a charm! It is a fantastic choice.

Mine is amazing. Super duper light and functioned perfectly right out of the box, no lube or anything. Cycled 7.5 shot low brass easily.

2018 is the year that Beretta had some issues with the bolt release lever(more an operator issue). It was changed the following generations.
