Just wondering if other folks have had this kind of success with their shotguns. This gun was bought in 1992 and now has roughly 60,000 rounds through it with no problems. I'm sure there are many other good stories but thought folks might be interested.

That's a lot for a Beretta. :)

It's getting just nicely broken in.

I've owned a Beretta Super Sport and a 682X. The Super Sport was for a time my only shotgun and I did everything with it. Clays, trap, ducks, upland, you name it. At least 60 thousand rounds, probably more, and it was still rock solid when something new caught my attention.

The 682X was formerly owned by a trapshooter who bought it new. He'd campaigned it hard, by his own estimation 100,000 rounds. It put about 20 thousand through it myself. The only thing done was a new set of locking lugs. I expect that gun is still out there somewhere still giving reliable service.

Berettas will wear out. But it takes a very, very long time and when they do a few new parts and they are ready to go again.

Let me know how they work with 500,000 rounds through them. :)

...It's getting just nicely broken in....

"Buddy" has one he bought new (c. 1990) when RUKO was still the importer. As his only smoothbore for about 15 years, it's easily surpassed the 150,000 mark, and may well have exceeded 200,000. Beyond some obvious external wear and tear ( he uses it for both hunting and clay targets ) to date, it's only had one extractor replaced.
