Does anyone know the value of a new one of these? The reason I am asking is that there is very little on the internet and I have never seen one of these before. The only thing I can find is an old 2009 page from shooters choice listing the same order number and an MSRP of 2925.Are they common? I just purchased one and I think I got a good deal at 2300 plus taxes brand new with 28 inch barrels and 5 mobil chokes, the dealer had it since 2010. NICE wood with that little silver medallion on the underside of the stock and beautiful colour case hardening. Any info would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

The price you paid it for is about what the 687 C retails for (+/- a little bit). If that was Shooters Choice (Waterloo) - the store has inflated prices more often than not.

MSRP and actual are generally two different beasts.
What matters are is it paid for and does it fit you.
And the biggest feature is will you take it out there and put it to good use.
Of course you will.
Now lets see some pictures of your gun.
I have never seen a Beretta o/u with case hardening ;)
Congrats on your new gun too.
Rob

Thanks for the replies, I actually called up the distributor to find out a little more history on the gun and he verified for me after I gave him the serial # that indeed it was sold to the dealer in 2010 and he said I got a good deal as they retail at 3000.00. I actually bought it with my 16 yr. old son and he is going to SLOWLY pay me back over time. I own a silver pigeon 1 in 12 gauge and like it very much. We will be going on a pheasant hunt tomorrow and use both guns. I will ask my son to post some pictures as I am computer illiterate to some degree, Ed.

This is one of my favourite models in the Silver Pigeon line up. There is an understated elegance to it and the forend shape fits my style of shooting perfectly. The "case hardening" isn't real but rather accomplished through a chemical process and not the traditional bone and charcoal.

Classy little bird gun ... and you got it at a VERY good price !

The "case colours" really aren't authentic ... they're done through a chemical process rather than the traditional heat/bone charcoal method,
but none the less, a very pretty finish. Ceratinly one of Bereta's better looking field guns. Not uncommon in Canada but hard to find in the US !.
