Beretta - 87 Target

I thought of buying one a few years ago and from what I had read they were a very good gun.

I have a Beretta 89, which is no longer produced. The 87 is similar, a bit easier to manufacture, and has replaced the 89.

My comments relate to the 89, but handling and operation of the 87 is very similar. I find it to be a great gun. Extremely accurate, stays on target, great quality. But.... it has a different feel than, say a Ruger Mk II or S&W 41. The Beretta feels/handles more like an action shooting (IPSC) gun than a bullseye gun.

Definitely try and shoot one before you buy, or at least play with one in a store if you can't find one to shoot.

I've shot one...it's smaller than it looks (if someone hasn't seen one) grip is quite smaller than on the 92FS...

My budget on a rimfire is only $200  so I can't afford one but it's a good gun...

Hey some-one on CGN had a great idea with a similar Beretta 89/87? BB 22 LR.
He had a 106mm barrel installed and it looked like a mini Beretta 92F or 1934 sort of....
Anyways, it was the OLDER target model, that did not have the gigantic scope rail thingy, of this frame, and it looked very good with the 106mm tube.

Now if one can find, or have a longer one shortened, a restrcted 106mm barrel for these trade-ex guns.....
