Beretta 92/96 "D spring" mod

My 92 and 96 both have it.

My 92 compact has the Wilson Combat 14# spring in it now, but had it as well. If I don't like the WC feel, I'm going back to the "D" and putting the WC up on the EE

Stock is 20#
D Spring is 16#

Anyone know if a d spring for a 92 will be the same one for a 90-two? I am assuming so. I just want to confirm.

You can also just trim a couple coils off the OEM spring for the same results.

Yep, they all use the same hammer spring, had D springs in my 90-two, 96 vertec inox and my 92elite1a but switched them out for 13's from Wolff long ago. I see Wilson now has 12's available too. Might have to get someone to ship me down a couple of those one of these days. BTW if you go lighter than the D (16lb) they recommend the use of Federal primers for reliable ignition. Light primer strikes may happen with Win or CCI as they are much harder than Federal.

Do it, you'll find a big difference in the trigger. Also if you install a short reach trigger, I'm sure you'll be very happy with it.

C spring is even better. I tried both and settled on the C. This is in the Clone Girsan.
