Beretta 92 or 90-Two?

A friend of mine has a 92FS, it was one of the first handguns I've ever tried.
I think it was Canukgunny who said you'll either love or hate the trigger. I'm with the latter. The trigger felt like a sponge in both DA and SA. SA being worse because it felt like you had to still move the trigger through it's entire movement but there was only resistance right before the trigger broke.
Now I don't own an auto. I have a S&W 686, I'm not sure if all auto's work that way or maybe it was a gun specific problem. I just think the the trigger should be touched off in SA mode instead of a long light spongy trigger pull.

I don't know about shooting it, but was getting a feel for the 92fs and 90-two in the store. 92fs felt natural, but the 90-two felt like it was made of cheap plastic and would not withhold the test of time. I own a glock 17 also which I adore, so i'm not phobic of polymer guns. The plastic just genuinely felt of very low quality - like almost what I'd expect of a plastic object that came from a dollar store.

Some may love it on the other hand, and hopefully the quality of the 90-two's are not the way they felt to me.

I guess a had a bit to complain about the trigger but I forgot to add that the 92FS that I handled was overall a very very well put together handgun despite my own opinion of that guns trigger. I would recommend the Beretta 92 or the M9 in any form over the 90-2. The weight feels nice and balanced. I thought the 90-2 felt top heavy like all my polymer experiences.

Another thing to consider with the 90-two is that a holster properly fitted for a 92 will not properly hold a 90-two. Oh yes, and nobody makes holsters for the 90-two unless it's a cu$tom order.

Galco makes a factory holster. I own one and the 90two also. Love them both.
