Beretta 92A1 Owners Chime In! Need A Holster! Who Has One?

I got a Blachhawk Serpa CQC locally which I've been using for some IDPA matches and practice sessions. Seems to work very nicely and the finger release falls nicely in place with the draw. Mine was for a 92fs but the Blackhawk website seems to only group them all in a lump as "Beretta 92". So it should fit the A1 fine.

If I were looking for a holster that was just for casual carrying around the range between stages where they are shot from a ready position then a cheap Uncle Mike holster will work just fine. In fact I'm surprised at how nice they are for what is a bargain price. If you're only shooting the odd match for grins and giggles you would likely find that it works just fine. I suspect the use of a soft holster may only cost a tenth or two of a second when you're first starting out.

The A1 has a rounded trigger guard not squared like the FS, and from what I read they aren't interchangeable.

I have so far found Desantis makes a Speed Scabbard for it, but I believe they are backordered. Luckily enough I am close to the border so I am gonna have to go South to Buffalo Gun Centre and see if they have one. I got one for a CZ 75 there and loved it.

If I have to backorder one, I will probably pick up a cheap Nylon from Unlce Mikes, or possibly one of the Molle type from Condor or whatever till I get the it.

Damn new guns!
