Beretta 92FS - 22 Conversion Kit

My girlfriend has the Ciener conversion kit on an old 92 frame full-time. It is a great .22 pistol. It is probably the best combination of fun, reliability and accuracy that we have used in a .22 (we used to have a P22, Mosquito, and a Ruger 22/45, and have tried lots of others). You don't have to use mini-mags or any of that b.s. with this kit. Buy a bulk box of cheap ammo and shoot. Very few problems. The slide does not lock back on the last shot, but dry firing it does not damage it. The slide locking back issue is an engineering issue that isn't easy to overcome when converting doublestack centre-fire pistols to single stack rimfire. The pistol works well though. This one came from the EE, and I have seen a couple of them in the EE since then. A good pick-up if you have a Beretta frame to put it on.

Some vids of the two of us shooting it:

I have the Beretta practice kit, unlike the Ceiner product it does have the slide mounted safety/decocker. I use CCI standard velocity ammo, accuracy is acceptable, not as good as my fathers S&W 617 for example, but a useful training aid and great for cheap plinking. I get the occasional light strike in single action (I have a reduced power hammer spring fitted) but it always goes bang in double action and never fails to cycle or eject.
The magazine loading device is needed, otherwise you may cut your fingers trying to compress the spring. I give it two thumbs up, I put more ammo through it these days than all my centerfires combined.
