I bought this a while ago and have been shooting it almost exclusively for a few months now.

Some pics and thoughts.....she's real purty.

Comes with all the go fast stuff - checkered front and back straps:

Forward slide serrations:

Extended mag release:

Recessed muzzle crown:

Beveled mag well:

It came with night sights that I improved with some orange and black Tremclad.

The VZ golf ball grips are amazing except they don't put golf balls where I want them the most, so I stippled some factory grips.

I've got close to 1300 rounds through it now. I've had 6 failures of the slide to lock back on an empty mag, all due to improper grip. I've had 3 failures to feed from the two factory mags. I've segregated the two factory mags and just use them for dry fire now. I've had zero problems with Mec-Gar mags and have standardized to those. The FTF were all on the first round of slide lock reloads, which leads me to believe the factory mags are suspect. I got them used so I'm unsure what the primary issue is, but Mec-Gar mags work perfectly.

I've had two light primer stikes with garbage Barnaul 115g. After doing some research, hard primers are a known problem with this ammo. The previous 1000 rounds were trouble free with an assortment of American Eagle, Blazer and Tula. I forgot to mention that this is a G model, so it's decocker only. It's the only way to own a Beretta. Beretta has released a new run of G's recently. Elite's are a little harder to find.

It's more consistently accurate than my Glock. 25 yards freestyle, first shot DA. 95-1x B8 target.

The forward serrations ripped the skin off my thumb in the first 500 rounds. Reminds me not to be a jacka$$ with my grip.

I eventually cleaned the blood off. It was harder to get off than I expected.

I'm digging the Beretta. Best F.A.S.T time so far with it is 6.27 clean. DA pull is long and reasonable. It has the "D" spring installed so it's really manageable. SA pull is short and light. Reset isn't terrible. Oh, I haven't cleaned it yet! :D More info to come.

Pretty sweet pistola ya got there. Don't see too many of those around. Sorry 'bout the thumb. Guess those serrations act like a saw blade.

Yup, sure is purdy, I know I got one too. I tend to shoot my 92FS Inox more, but do enjoy the Elite.

Now all you gotta do is get a matching 96 G Elite II to go with it.

An elegant weapon from amore civilized age.

But I can't get into those things, what with the slide mounted safety, thumb abraders, and crazy triggers. Even though they're good looking, accurate as hell and reliable as long as they've got oil dripping out of them.

Still though, that must be a fun gun to be playing around with.

yes, it was an italian joke

I was originally going to go with a pre Ron Sig, but when I saw this on the EE and knew I was taking the Langdon course, I had to have it.

It's been interesting, as I never thought I'd own a Beretta. I've really had very little experience with Beretta's other than seeing them in lots of late 80's movies and shooting the odd mag through a couple at the range over the years.

At the risk of sounding like TDC, TDA's are great platforms for ingraining fundamentals. If you can shoot a TDA well, SF pistols are easy.

It was excellent. Worth every penny. I had a few major light-bulb moments, which is all a student can ask for really.

I should have stayed for the advanced class. I'm kicking myself for not committing to it, but I'm already over my training budget this year.

I'm hoping Rob can get him back here next year. I'd train with Langdon again in a heartbeat.

Langdon was a Beretta employee for a while, he knows how to shoot those guns! I have never been able to handle that long DA first shot with my stubby digits, but your gun looks interesting. As for blood on the gun, I had a similar experience recently with a jammed Winchester 2400 semi auto shotgun so as Bil Clinton said "I feel your pain".

Understatement of the year. He was shooting a Wilson Combat "G" converted Beretta. He's phenomenal with those guns.

Yeah the blood was interesting, I thought it would come off with some solvent and a quick wipe. I had to scrub at it with a wire brush. It was very hard to get off the frame.

One of my first guns was a Beretta 92FS (straight dust cover). Super reliable and accurate. Sold it as I went to 1911 then plastic guns with adjustable grips to better suit my small hands.

Still miss it today!!!! Can't stand the new ones with slanted cover!!

Glad to see people shoot what they like instead of what the web tells them is 'the best'.

I don't know man - I might have left the blood, nothing says badass like a blood stained gun.

I thought the same, but when I posted pics on another forum, the members there threw me a penalty flag. Elite's are very sought after in the U.S. and the prices are inflated, which tends to get panties bunched.

This was made when Beretta still cared about competitive shooters who wanted a performance gun...

I heard from a very reliable source that along with the recent run of G's there's going to be a new limited run of G's with some of the go fast features.

I think Beretta is starting to listen to their customer base.

I'd like to see a 92 Centurion, G model, with front an rear strap serrations and dovetail front sight. I think it would be a near ideal concealed carry gun. I'm looking at YOU Beretta.

I wish I was. Unfortunately, I'm tapped out for training funds right now. I know ECQC is a must attend course, and it's on my list. I just hope I'm not missing out for good. Who knows when it will be offered in Canada again...

###y gun, I have two top ends a 9 and 40 for the Elite II. Too bad I burned out the frames on both those guns. keep a close eye on the rails dude.

Too late for that. Not to mention good luck finding those double stack mags or spare parts in Canada. I'm 10 mins away from the Glock distributor and they'll sell me any part I want.

Will do, thanks for the heads up. How many rounds did it take before the rails failed?

Other small parts are easy to find from Brownells.
