Are the Beretta 96D or the 96 Centurion any good?

from what i heard.

the .40cal beretta sucks balls,

thats what the vpd tells me anyways, they say its always breaking down, and #### and such.

but the M92fs are very very nice

the only truly good Beretta .40's are the Elite II's and Brigadiers, oh and the Elite 1A's.

96 Centurion

I've had a 96 Centurion for several years now, I've put 7000 plus rounds down range and never a hicup. That being said, I've heard the same things about the Beretta. All the reports I've seen on the problem stems from the locking block. Some of the locking blocks shear after only a few thousand rounds, while others have yet to break.

So far I shot 500rds with my Vertec, I see no problems. Not even a single jam.
