Beretta A391 Xtrema2 Slug Barrel?

Hi everybody,

I tried a search of the this forum, EE, Internet, Beretta's website...Neg Results.

I believe it possible to get a slug barrel for this gun, but where? I would prefer rifled, but just curious as I REALLY like this new shotgun and would love to take it into the bush for deer.


Any direction would be appreciated.

A few years back, at the Montreal sportsmen's show, I asked that question to the Stoeger rep manning their booth (as they are the distributors of Beretta shotguns) and was told they were available for $900. That was maybe 5 years ago. I never did ask him if there were any actually in Canada. Needless to say, I didn't buy one.
 
OOF! That is a lot for a shotgun barrel. I think I will stick with slugs through cylinder bore then. That seems to work well for my needs. Thanks for your input.

This is true. I was kind of hoping for it to be a brush slug gun. I was thinking a short barreled Chiappa 1892 in 44 RM or one of the Grizzly/DA 870 with a 12.5" barrel would send a slug tumbling through the brush into a deer on the run.

I was hoping a short barrel for my Beretta would be more attainable as I like how it points. Ah well, just another excuse for a new gun ;-)
