Beretta AL391 synthetic field

Opinions would be appreciated on the reliabilty and durabilty of these shotguns. They are light and handle well , but will they be good all around reliable shotgun for skeet and duck hunts?

I've owned a Beretta 391 for the past couple of years and use it as a waterfowler, loaner gun and back up clays gun. It's an excellent gun for the purpose IMHO.

The beretta 391 series shotguns are the standard all other autoloading
shotgun are measured by. All thought there is no one shotgun that does
it all. That one is as close as it gets. With the stock shims and difterents
length but pads you should be able to fit it well. As for reliability, if you keep
it clean and oiled you should have no problems. I have a friend who put over
1000 rounds thru to see if it would jam. It didn't, he cleaned it because it
started to kick too much. I'm looking for a 12 gauge sporting myself. It is
one of the most pleasant shotguns to shoot. They swing well with very
little recoil.
Good choice IMHO.

I have both a 391 Extrema 1 and a Urika I use for clays. I love them both and I think they are top shelf as far as auto loaders go.

what Jeffg said. I had one for a while, in my case the butt stock fit just under my cheekbone and recoil bothered me after 100 rounds. I went back to playing golf on sunday mornings.
