Beretta APX or a Sig P320

There's no way a stig Pee320 can ever be made into an "X" series! Ugh!
The US Army should have bought the superior Glock 17 just like the FBI! Skip the pedestrian Pee320 and try the Beretta...

"Sounds like Bovine Scattology to me".
- Stormin' Norman Schwartzkopf: referring to the claimed superiority of Glock to the M9 Beretta during the first Gulf War. The General carried a presentation grade stainless Sig P225 given to him by German Chancellor Helmet Kohl.

I have a Sig P320 and just bought a Sig P320RX - these are the lego of guns, they are uber easy to take down and mine has worked flawlessly so far.

What other than sights needs to be changed? A good set of tritium night sights and plenty of ammo is all any pistol should need(maybe a light). Modular frames is a dumb concept that pleases the amateur hobby shooter. Once you've selected the size that "fits" you(another BS concept) there is no need to acquire another frame. Switching from full size to compact or changing calibre is just as ludicrous. The cost for a calibre/size exchange kit is almost the same as buying another gun. If the compact does everything you need it to do then there's no logical need for the full size, and vise versa. As for calibre, pick one and stick with it.

The 320 is easy to field strip, as is a Glock, M&P, HK USP, HK SFP9, SIG 22X series, Walther, Beretta, etc etc. Field stripping is simple on nearly all firearms and is not a criteria that should be considered when purchasing.

The P320RX does have different (higher) co-witness sights as it has an optic

Not sure where your rant came from, a quick search of my posts will reveal some stuff I dislike about the P320 but having said that I still own two. I also like Glocks, CZs, Walthers, H&Ks and a few others i am no doubt missing

Don't like the fact its modular or can change calibre - no worries - don't buy one! For the record neither of those features have any appeal to me personally but it may well be something that someone else wants/needs when deciding which pistol to buy - their money, their choice.

I also disagree with your view on takedown - my wife took a shine to a Ruger that was known to have takedown issues and it stopped me from purchasing despite it being the best "fit" for her
