Beretta Chipping

I have put a total of 40 shells through my Beretta and the receiver is chipping. It looks like the spent shell is hitting the receiver and chipping it.

Would this be considered normal wear or should I contact Beretta? I just bought the gun yesterday so warranty it not an issue.

Thanks for the repley. Can't say I'm happy about it considering the money spent but not much I can do about it now.

Its because its a painted finish, will happen to all guns that have that kind of finish.

I wouldn't be worried if it's just paint being removed/scratched off by shells being ejected. It's just a water transfer anyways from what I understand, so not exactly super durable in metal-on-metal contact. I would only be concerned if it's actually causing damage to the metal itself.

That's normal. If you want to see bad, handle that camo gun with sunscreen or bug spray on your hands...
