My CX4 should be here any day and I'm looking at options for optics. I'd like a red dot of some sort. I guess an Aimpoint Micro T2 or EOtech EXPS 3 would be nice but I'm not interested in spending that kind of $.

Would like something middle of the road that will work well with the design of the CX4. What about the Vortex Sparc II? Or something like the Leupold DeltaPoint Reflex?

I considered a red dot on mine, then decided I really wanted to have a bit of magnification. I started with a 1-4x24 Vortex Crossfire II with a V-plex reticle, and I replaced it with later 1-6x24 Vortex Strike Eagle. I may return to the 1-4x simply because I really like the simplicity of that reticle.

The major limitation for mounting the scope is that we only have about 11" in length, unless we put the scope high enough to clear the rear iron sight's wing, which prevents a cheek weld. That's not an issue with a red dot with unlimited eye relief, of course.

First picture is with the Crossfire II, second is with the Strike Eagle.

If im not mistaken, Leupold Delta point is not cheap and will likely run you close to eotech prices. My recommendation for a simple 9mm plinker would be a holosun. Small, rather robust and good overall reviews. The vortex sparc2 is another good option, however its a little bigger than the holosun.

I use the Bushnell TRS-25 on my Storm and it is perfect in any way!
Also it doesn't add any bulk to this little carbine.
