I'm interested in getting a restricted Beretta CX4 Storm rebarreled to be non-restricted.

Does anyone know where I could get this done? And what it might cost, including parts and labour?

I imagine that it might be harder to find a barrel now that purpose-built non-restricteds are being imported.

Whilst I have not had any work done by Ian, I keep hearing nothing but good things about him and Herron Arms. Will have to keep them in mind if I ever need something rebarreled!

I inquired back in Feb with Herron Arms about a NR barrel conversion. Response:

"Cost would be $700 plus tax and shipping. That would be for a chromoly barrel with a black cerakote finish and a muzzle thread if you wanted it".

It's hard to justify that when you can get a used one for ~$1000.

I got mine from Epps about 7 or 8 years ago. At the time they were converting them regularly, and usually had a couple of brand new converted-to-NR ones in stock, ready to go. The barrel they used is a bit heavier than the standard factory profile.

It's a terrific little gun, tons of fun to shoot and very capable for pests-around-the-yard use. Mine has taken coyotes, skunks, raccoons, porcupines and feral cats with aplomb.
