Hi

I would like to have your input on this rifle, i want the .40sw model. Is it a good rifle? Is it accurate? Any problems of quality or jamming?

How would you compare this to a .223 rifle?

I'm asking because of a friend who likes this paticular rifle even though i try to convince him a .223 (ar15/mini14) would be a better shot.;)

thanks

ok first of, don't try to compare a pistol caliber to a rifle one, their 2 different categories. Now as for the the CX4 itself its a great little toy to play with. I had one in 9mm and shot great up to a 100 yards.( by that i mean i never fired a grouping bigger than 5 inch wich is good for a pistol caliber) as for the quality, the only thing that i did'nt like about was the trigger pull, its awful but ounce your used to it it ok. As for the caliber its a personnel choice.

CX4 storm

I had one in 9 mm that had the barrel shortened that would put ten lead bullets into 2 inches at 50 yards and about six inches at 100 yards, with a red dot scope.
I was going to put a longer barrel on it and de-register it, but it shot so well that I left it alone.
I have a .45 now and it seems to be just about as accurate. Neither ever jammed or had a failure to function.
As mentioned before, the trigger pull is terrible.

Keep in mind the CX4 was designed for law enforcement applications...where you do not want a hair trigger...I like the trigger..there is no creep.....it breaks solid at just the right pressure..a bit gritty maybe.

I like the CX4 I have in 40 s&w, despite the trigger... it's accurate enough to knock the ten and x ring out of a target or shoot a happy face into it. The controls are readily switched for left hand operation other than the slide release, and I haven't had any malfunctions. On the other hand it's a pistol cartridge not a rifle cartridge as previously noted, a plus if your range doesn't allow centre fire rifle rounds...
