I recently purchased a Beretta 92FS vertec. I am extremely pleased with the aesthestics of this pistol and it seems well built. I have not shot it yet and cannot comment on how it shoots, but I am looking forward to shooting it when I have time to go to the range. The only thing I don't like about it is the decocker. Don't get me wrong, I like having a decocker, I just wish that it wouldn't stay in the safe position after decocking the hammer. So question to all the Beretta experts out there, is there a way I can modify the decocker so that the lever is spring loaded and will return to the fire position after decocking the hammer? Thanks guys.

I don't think so, but I'm no 'expert'. I've had my 92fs for donkey's ears and don't even think about it. I think once you run that puppy for a while you'll feel the same way. Its just one extra little movement to flip it back up. I like the sig getup the best myself. Some models came with the option you want, but iirc, the vertec wasn't one of them.

no, you cannot modify it. G models are spring loaded, but you can't swap the parts, or anything like that to get an F/FS to do the same thing. which is really too bad.
unless of couse it's a 90-two, I think those ones you can. I know you can with a PX4 as well as the Cougars.
