Hi,

I'm experiencing ejector problems on both my Beretta DT-11 and SV-10. One ejector isn’t working on both guns.

I either have to slam the barrel open or slightly close it slightly for the problematic ejector to fire.

Anything I should check other than cleaning and oiling ? Witch I did many times already… Problem isn’t weather/cold related as I had the same problem this summer.

Beretta representative who came at an event at our gun club said he never heard ok such problem and suggested that I should clean it better and use proper oil (non beretta one)…

Found some threads talking about this problem, but no clear answer... Hoping to have better luck here !

Regards

Hey,

I had this issue on a beretta sv10....i solved it by doing some very minor hand filing on the tip of the ejector where it makes contact with the little lever on the forend. i found the one ejector having issues was getting stuck on on the lever as so i rounded it out a little. here is a pic that will hopefully show what i mean/where i did the filing...I did not have issues in the several thousand rounds i shot after doing this.

And despite what the rep said this is a known issue for a couple Beretta o/u (the sv10 in particular). On other sites people suggest contacting beretta for a replacement ejector.

Ty I'll try that.

I might contact Stoeger Canada to get replacement ejector anyhow. I was afraid I'd had to send guns back and lose them for a while...

Hmmm... By chance are you using Winchester promo (cheap) loads? They are notorious for getting stuck in the chamber. Is it the same barrel every time?

I shoot mostly Remington with occasionnal Federal. I dont think its the ammo, as the second ejector would stick once in a while too.

Beretta has changed the ejector springs as they had issues with them. We don't get the upgrades here, only on new production models. I have my DT11 serviced in Europe at the World FITASC. Mario ( I have known him since 2000 at the Euro in Austria) has serviced my Berettas while in Europe. He replaced my ejector springs with new longer ones this year in Portugal. He provides the feedback to the 60 strong engineers at Beretta. I do not have any sticking shells anymore even with the el cheapos! Ask Stoeger for the new springs.

Simple to test if you are dealing with faulty timing in the ejection system or sticky hulls. Close the gun with no ammo in it, fire both triggers, then open it up. If it pops both ejectors during the open motion the timing is fine. I've seen a 682 where you have to open the gun fully, then slightly close it to trigger the ejector.
